Spring=Yard Cleaning Time!

We have had such beautiful weather lately that Sawyer is dying to be outside.  She absolutely loves it.  What I don't love is the pollen that makes her congested and the fact that our yard needed some major attention.  I love for the grass to be neatly cut.  It is just a pet peeve of mine.  Not only did we cut the grass, but we cleaned up, used the weed eater, and put out 25 bales of pine straw.  It might not sound like a lot, but just take a look at the pictures.  There is still lots more that we want to do to the yard, but as we all now that takes LOTS of time and money!  So, we at least go it to the point where it looks better :)

I downloaded the Instagram app for my new iPhone!  I LOVE IT!!   I have had so much fun taking pictures.  These are just a few I have taken with it!

A day with Sawyer...

So it is Spring Break and we are just hanging out at home.  We went to the lake for a few days, but are now back.  Sawyer is an absolute mess.  She talks up a storm, she says words, like yogurt, strawberry, and several more.  It amazes us daily what she can do.  She does not forget anything!  This afternoon, she decided she wanted to put on some shoes, so we took her clean clothes up to her room, and she picked out these shoes to put on, along with her giraffe swimsuit, she got out of her drawer.

Seven years and counting...

Spencer and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on the 19th of March.  It is so hard to believe seven years have already passed.  We did not make any major plans this year, we chose to stay home.  Normally we go away, but this year, we decided to save the money and put it towards painting our bedroom, laundry room, and stairs.  I know, exciting??  But, I really am :)  Spencer did surprise me with a new iPhone 4s, not sure about the numbers, but he said it was the newest one.  Anywho, I was totally shocked!  I had not asked for it, but I sure did want one. Then, he had also made dinner reservations for us at Gian Marcos!  I was totally excited!  We had a fantastic dinner and are looking forward to many more together!

B&W Wedding Gorham's Bluff: We had dinner and spent our wedding night here, in the Roden Room, of course :)

19 Month Check-up

Well, I was about a month late for Sawyer's 18 month check-up.  I was late for the 15 month, due to scheduling conflicts, so I wanted to make sure it was a full three months between.  Everything went great.  She weights 27lbs and is 33 inches tall.  She is in the 75th percentile on both height and weight.  She is a growing girl.

At 19 months Sawyer:

  • Eats whatever we eat.  She loves turkey spaghetti, sliders, tilapia fish sticks with ketchup, taco salad, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, goldfish, sweet tea.  Those are a few of her favorites!
  • Wears 18m-24m clothes
  • Size 4 diaper, although we may move up to a 5 soon
  • Size 5 1/2 shoe (at least her Keds are)
  • Loves Tater, Piper, and Bella
  • Loves to push her baby in the stroller
  • Loves to cook in her kitchen
  • Sleeps all night (730ish-615ish)
  • Loves to nap on the weekends
  • Loves to swing
  • LOVES, LOVES, LOVES OUTSIDE!!
  • Talks up a storm
  • Loves to dance
  • Can say please and thank you

And...many more.  She is growing so fast and we are enjoying every minute.  I can see the gears in her mind just a working!

18 months and counting...

I am so behind on my blogging!  Sawyer is now 18 months old as of January 14, 2012.  I cannot believe how time has flown.  She is one amazing little girl and Spencer and I thank God daily for our precious blessing.

She can do so much, I am not sure where to even begin.  Her teachers at school comment all the time on how advanced she is.  I sure hope so!  Spencer and I talk with her all the time and try our best to let her be apart of our conversations and such.

Sawyer can...

  • Say grandparent's names: Pop, MiMi, Elmo (eeeeemooo), and BeBe
  • Say KT, Momma, Dada, Piper, Tater, and Bella
  • Repeat the names of the kids in her class
  • Knows sign language for "more"
  • Say: Cheese, No, Hot, Cold, Milk, cheese toast, buberries (blueberries), baby, eat, and my gosh....a million other things it seems.....
  • She also loves to tell us that it is cold outside
  • She gives great kisses and blows great kisses!
  • She is still in a size 4 diaper
  • She is wearing 18-24 month clothes
  • Her shoe size is a 5-5 1 2
  • She has beautiful golden curls and blue eyes
  • Her favorite foods are cheese, spaghetti, bananas, blueberries, strawberries, and goldfish
  • She loves her baby doll and loves to give baby it's sippy cup and cook in her kitchen!

At school they have her sleeping on a cot.  I cannot even imagine how they did this!  Such a big girl.  She sleeps well at home too.  She now goes to bed around 7:30, sometimes sooner if she is tired.  She sleeps all night (most of the time).  She still loves bathtime and gets very excited when we ask her if she wants a bath!
