So it is Spring Break and we are just hanging out at home. We went to the lake for a few days, but are now back. Sawyer is an absolute mess. She talks up a storm, she says words, like yogurt, strawberry, and several more. It amazes us daily what she can do. She does not forget anything! This afternoon, she decided she wanted to put on some shoes, so we took her clean clothes up to her room, and she picked out these shoes to put on, along with her giraffe swimsuit, she got out of her drawer.
Spencer and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on the 19th of March. It is so hard to believe seven years have already passed. We did not make any major plans this year, we chose to stay home. Normally we go away, but this year, we decided to save the money and put it towards painting our bedroom, laundry room, and stairs. I know, exciting?? But, I really am :) Spencer did surprise me with a new iPhone 4s, not sure about the numbers, but he said it was the newest one. Anywho, I was totally shocked! I had not asked for it, but I sure did want one. Then, he had also made dinner reservations for us at Gian Marcos! I was totally excited! We had a fantastic dinner and are looking forward to many more together!
Well, I was about a month late for Sawyer's 18 month check-up. I was late for the 15 month, due to scheduling conflicts, so I wanted to make sure it was a full three months between. Everything went great. She weights 27lbs and is 33 inches tall. She is in the 75th percentile on both height and weight. She is a growing girl.

And...many more. She is growing so fast and we are enjoying every minute. I can see the gears in her mind just a working!
I am so behind on my blogging! Sawyer is now 18 months old as of January 14, 2012. I cannot believe how time has flown. She is one amazing little girl and Spencer and I thank God daily for our precious blessing.
She can do so much, I am not sure where to even begin. Her teachers at school comment all the time on how advanced she is. I sure hope so! Spencer and I talk with her all the time and try our best to let her be apart of our conversations and such.

At school they have her sleeping on a cot. I cannot even imagine how they did this! Such a big girl. She sleeps well at home too. She now goes to bed around 7:30, sometimes sooner if she is tired. She sleeps all night (most of the time). She still loves bathtime and gets very excited when we ask her if she wants a bath!
I am so glad Spencer and I told Santa that it might be a good idea if he brought Sawyer a kitchen this year. She loves it! She pretends to fill up cups with water, get ice from the fridge, and she even turns the knobs as if she is turning the stove or oven on. She also loves to bring Mommy and Daddy a taste of her lasted creation.
Of course, Spencer and I couldn't stand it any longer being away from sweet Sawyer, so we headed to meet Mimi and Pop just before lunch. Once we got home, we napped, then spent the rest of the day playing, and I made the traditional NYD dinner! I have to say, I think I did a pretty good job this year!
Topped with a little hot sauce, this was a great meal to begin 2012!!!
It is so hard to believe that 2012 has already arrived! Spencer and I are looking forward to our sweet adventures with Sawyer. She is so much fun and growing and changing every day!
This year, Sawyer spent NYE with MiMi and Pop in Albertville, while Mommy and Daddy had a few friends over for a fantastic NYE dinner. It was a great evening spent with close friends! Lots of great food, laughs, and fun!
