This blog post, actually should have been done before the last one, but I kind of got off track. Anywho....the last week in July we took a family beach trip with Spencer's family to Seagrove Beach. It was also Spencer's 30th birthday! We had a great time and Sawyer did pretty well on the beach. She got the sand all over her and then would come and sit on me. I didn't like that part so much! But, overall it was a nice way to end our summer!

Back to School....
With that said, that would be the reason I have not been blogging. I am exhausted! Going back to work after such a relaxing summer is so tiring. Even to Sawyer. She is back in school (what I call daycare it makes me feel better) and comes home, eats dinner, takes a bath, and is ready for bed by 6:00! They are completely wearing her out at school. She is now only taking one nap per day. I am pretty sure she is like her Momma and she likes her sleep. Even though she goes to bed so early she has been sleeping all night. We have completely transitioned into whole milk and table food. We have also done away with the bottle except for at night, which we are slowly working on. She is just so tired sometimes it is not worth the fight :)
I am liking my class this year. So far I have 22! They are chatty, but very smart and sweet! I know we can have a great year!

12 months= 1 Year!
Ok, well we have now officially counted the first 12 months of Sawyer's precious life! This is what she is doing at 12 months:
- Eats table food for every meal, no more baby food! Thank goodness that didn't last long....so gross!
- Can say Mamamamamama, Dadadada, Sawyer Rhea Roden (Spencer and I understand her when we ask her her name), Bella, No, I am sure there are a few others.....
- Clap her hands to; "If you're happy and you know it!"
- Play pat-a-cake! She loves the roll'm up, roll'm up part (she knows the hand motions)
- Drink whole milk, we are/have transitioned her from formula!
- Stand alone for a few seconds and take a couple of steps, but then she realizes what she is doing and plops down
- Climb the stairs
- Hold up one finger when we ask her age!
- Wears a size 4 diaper
- 12-18 months clothes
- Size 3 shoe
- Wears bows in her hair
- Give sweet kisses!
- Has two bottom teeth
- And....knows how to GET HER WAY!!!!
Jennifer Branham Photography has done a great job capturing Sawyer's milestones! Thank you, Jennifer!
Happy 1st Birthday, Sawyer!
My goodness! We cannot believe our little Doodlebug is now one year old! The year has flown by! I plan on reminiscing about this past year in another post, but for now I am just going to share her birthday with you. We woke up and sent the breakfast at The Ranch House, then spent the rest of the morning running a few errands for her birthday party. She then decided she needed a nap, so we came home and she took a three hour nap. Needless to say, I was able to get a few more things done for her birthday party. After she woke, we ran a few more errands, and then met Granddaddy, V, Aunt KT, Lauren, Russell, and Taylor at La Fiesta for a birthday celebration. Spencer and I love La Fiesta and eat there on a regular basis. They watched me grow during my pregnancy as well as watching Sawyer grow her entire first year of life. They have a birthday wall, where they take pictures and post them. So....this year the waiters sang to Sawyer and she got to wear a little baby sombrero! So cute! She had a great day and now we are looking forward to her big birthday bash this weekend! Pictures will follow!
A little blurry, but birthday breakfast at The Ranch House! She and I shared a yummy biscuit and gravy!
The picture that goes on the wall at La Fiesta! We have our own copy and it is on the refrigerator at home!
Happy First Birthday, Sawyer! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

Ducklings!
Here are some pictures of the ducklings that Sawyer and I check on when we go to the duck pond.
I am a huge animal lover, and I can already tell Sawyer is too! I am very interested to see how many animals she is going to bring home to save in the future :)
