Happy 1st Birthday, Sawyer!

My goodness!  We cannot believe our little Doodlebug is now one year old!  The year has flown by!  I plan on reminiscing about this past year in another post, but for now I am just going to share her birthday with you.  We woke up and sent the breakfast at The Ranch House, then spent the rest of the morning running a few errands for her birthday party.  She then decided she needed a nap, so we came home and she took a three hour nap.  Needless to say, I was able to get a few more things done for her birthday party.  After she woke, we ran a few more errands, and then met Granddaddy, V, Aunt KT, Lauren, Russell, and Taylor at La Fiesta for a birthday celebration.  Spencer and I love La Fiesta and eat there on a regular basis.  They watched me grow during my pregnancy as well as watching Sawyer grow her entire first year of life.  They have a birthday wall, where they take pictures and post them.  So....this year the waiters sang to Sawyer and she got to wear a little baby sombrero!  So cute!  She had a great day and now we are looking forward to her big birthday bash this weekend!  Pictures will follow!

I am a huge animal lover, and I can already tell Sawyer is too!  I am very interested to see how many animals she is going to bring home to save in the future :)

Busy are we...

Sawyer and I are truly enjoying our summer.  We usually go for a walk around the duck pond each morning, then either swim in our little pool or go to a friends house.  We have also been to the splash pad at the zoo.  We enjoy getting out and about, and especially eating Zoe's for lunch! We also keep cool, by playing inside!  Check out our pics!

Happy 11 Months!

Hard to believe but Sawyer is almost one year old!  Time has absolutely flown by.  Spencer and I are having the time of our lives and love every minute we get to spend with her watching her grow and learn new things.  On the day she turned 11 months I was trying to take her picture....

and as you can see she can't sit still!  She is everywhere.  So I put her down in the floor and let her play with the sales ad for a minute.  So thankful I had my camera out, because I caught on camera for the first time her standing up on her own!  All by herself!!  Such a big girl!!

 

At 11 months Sawyer:

• Eats table food for every meal
• Wears a size 4 diaper
• Wears size 12 month and 18 month clothes
• Takes four bottles per day, but I believe we are about to drop one
• has two bottom teeth
• crawls everywhere
• can stand on her own
• can say momma and dada
• sleeps all night (6:30-6:00) almost every night, unless something weird happens
• Loves to play in the water
• Loves water from her sippy cup

I can't believe her next post will be about her first birthday!  I better get to planning :)

Sweet Summetime!

Well, we have made it to Friday of our first week of summer vacation.  Sawyer and I have had a blast!  We have played in our pool on the deck, gone for walks at the duck pond, gone swimming with her cousins, and taken several naps :) I wish I had pictures, but when you are the only adult and are around water it can be a little difficult.  Hopefully, I will be able to get some this weekend, when Daddy is home.  We have had a blast!  More stories to come!

I am slacking....

but, not because I have nothing to do, but because Sawyer is so stinking busy!  She is into everything.  I have to make sure she is in one of her toys that confines her, such as her walker or exersaucer in order to get anything accomplished.  She loves to chase Bella around in her walker, but she also loves to crawl all over the house, and I of course have to be right behind her.  She is a mess :) She hasn't officially started to walk yet, but she has a little toy that allows you to sit and ride or stand and push.  She has been able to stand and push herself across the den, but then realizes she has done something big, and plops down.  Too cute!
